Fashion Trends for Spring 2012...color & pattern

I am not addicted to fashion trends. You won't see me in pencil pants or skinny jeans. I only wear stretch pants when I am out for a winter run. I believe in sustainable fashion with cute trendy accessories.

I do love color trends. Most of the time I get excited about what this seasons color will be. I love to see my favorite shops and what they selected. Sometimes I cry and run away in horror.

So with that...I give you the most fashionable color trends for Spring 2012. I've tried to include as many team treasuries as I could. Hoping to see more team members with some pattern below. I've started to add some of these trends to my own line...more to come.

Neon Bright Bold Colors - I'd like to say it isn't true that the 80's Neon is back but alas I have an 8-year-old and it is very much trend. So if I am not paint splattering my clothes perhaps we can add it elsewhere and here are some great suggestions!





Blue and Orange are a very hot color combination. Just think Tide detergent, need I say more? Again, I may not wear this color combination but would love a cute accessory to brighten my whites.







Chevron Stripes & Ikat are the "in" patterns. Chevron is relatively new and seems to have zig zagged right past Ikat without looking. Ikat has been trying to push its way through for over a year now and is gaining some popularity...look no further than the Crate & Barrel spring catalog.





Quite a bit to think about this Spring. Plenty of options depending upon your style. I am looking forward to the warmer weather and can not thank my team enough for all of their continued support. To a healthy and happy Spring!!

Okay, now that you have your Tumblr account all set up,

let me show you how to do an image post, well, actually,

this exact post, looks like I made a good choice, it's been

reblogged 31 times in the last hour !!

First, go to your Dashboard, click photo.

this box will appear, you can either use "choose photo"

or " use a URL instead", I picked the URL option.

This is Yael/ The JoyofColor's pretty bunny drawing,

so I'm on her bunny drawing page and got the URL of the image.

I then added the caption - Rabbit all over fun illustration -

It's always nice to find Yael's page from tumblr so I added a link

of her pretty buns page to the caption, don't forget to set the target

to open in a new window, the same link also goes to the content source

link, which is third down from the top on the side bar.

I added a link to Yael's shop as well, you can never have

too many links !!!

We are almost done, just need to add the tags,

with white sand and rounded grey pebbles soft underfoot, smooth treasures for the taking and coveting

and ancient finds to adorn your finger

jewel coloured crabs enjoying the freezing beaches, uninhabited by bipeds for nearly most of the year

salt strong in the air

camouflaged amongst the beach gems,

small enough for your ears to wear, and maybe hear the lapping of the waves

as you remember your visit

... and tell your friends .....

twig and tuft collectors

it's that time again and I have been privy to an intimate affair -

I saw a bird with a twig when I was climbing up Arthur's Seat, in Edinburgh, the other day

and that means only one thing -

Nest Egg Watching!

and ofcourse the feathered friends make their nests carefully,

and secretly,

so that the only observers will be those with small, bird sized eyes

but for those eager and nosy observers who have larger eyes, and digits instead of claws,

well - they would be needing a pair of binoculars, comfy seat and plenty of time on their hands

and they may just get a glimpse too,

though in Scotland it can get rather chilly sitting out, so a tumbler of whisky would be a good companion

but before the whisky sinks in, and for when your glass is finished,

then a German Wool Cold War Era sweater is absolutely essential

and being from the Cold War means that it will enhance your spying

(okay - I'm not a whisky drinker but I am a sweater wearer :) and I do like to look for nests)

~ it's still a time of lean ~ so remember to put out a handful of tidbits for the feather friends, twig gathering is energy consuming

it's not too early to start buying your Easter decorations

I have 3 eggs already sitting on my side table (rather tempting, and I have a whole month to wait!)

and rabbits are beautiful - especially chocolate ones wrapped in silver paper

- whether they are edible or not!
